The Nitex Refinery project will be powered by a single cycle, 40 MWe, Natural gas-fired, GE LM6000 Aeroderivative Package.

The LM6000 gas turbine is derived from the GE commercial CF6-80C2 aircraft engine. This engine first entered aircraft service in 1985 and is used extensively in wide-body commercial airlines. More than 2000 of these turbines are either on order or in use today.

The LM6000 Package comes in a 50 Hz and 60 Hz design.
